Tonight features the awesome 2 piece band from Ottawa, ON – StillNative. They will be performing one full set of Black Key’s covers in addition to their own original music.

StillNative is a “RawBeat” Rock duo. Drawing from a truly eclectic pool of world influences they craft a sound that is all together their own. Greasy grooves, classic songwriting and a straight ahead rock n’ roll attitude. Explosive arrangements and catchy vocal hooks compliment earthy guitar tones and seriously hip drumming. The music’s subtle mambo, and New Orleans back-beat is sure to leave you craving more of that heavy groove.

Doors open at 8:00pm and is FREE…however, you can make a donation towards Arts Awards Waterloo Region if you are feeling so inclined. We certainly appreciate the support.

The competition this year has been incredible. The Arts Awards Waterloo Region Committee, all the people who came out to cheer on their favourite acts and all of our judges have been blown away by all of the amazing talent our region has to offer. I unfortunately arrived a bit late and missed The Durants so they don’t appear in this particular vid – many apologies to the band but I hear they rocked it. We have other footage of the event which includes everyone and it will be added soon.

Great job by all the bands, the staff at Maxwell’s Music House, the AAWR volunteers, the Judges and for all the Supporters who came out and enjoyed a rockin’ good evening of fun and entertainment.
